Q.     WHAT IS CERTIFICATION OF TRANSLATIONS IN UKRAINE?

     Certification of translation in Ukraine is an affidavit of translation accuracy stated by professional qualified translator (certifier) accompanied by corporate seal (stamp) of translation agency.

It is attached to any translation performed by translation bureau at no additional cost, and enough for any personal use translations (such as advertising, correspondence, marketing, technical content...), concluding translator's personal responsibility for the content.

Naturally, scanned photocopies are accepted for plain certified translation (without notarial certification). In this case you would receive certified translation of the document, attached (thread bound or sewn) to the photocopy.

If the document has to be filed or accepted by some Ukrainian instance, most likely you will be required to notarize your certified translation.


Q.    NOTARIZATION OF CERTIFIED TRANSLATIONS?

Notarial certification of translation is a confirmation/certification of the signature of the sworn translator on the translation. In order to carry out notary certification of translation, the document shall be completely processed and effective. The document shall contain the following information: • the name of the document issuer; • the date of preparing the document; • the name of place for preparing, issuing and signing; • signature.

As translation shall be approved by the notary ONLY UPON PRESENTATION OF THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT OR ITS ORIGINAL NOTARIZED COPY, you are required to send us the original notarized copy of the document or the original document itself, for Ukrainian notarization to be performed, to our mailing address.

Notary public is not entitled to accept documents for notarization that are legally invalid, for instance, foreign document without corresponding "authentication". Read more information on this subject in What is Apostille? section.

As the final result, you would receive certified (affidavit, corporate seal) Ukrainian translation notarized by Ukrainian notary, sewn (thread bound) together with the original document (that you sent to us), which is a proper way, acceptable in Ukraine.

Q.     WHEN UKRAINIAN NOTARIZATION IS REQUIRED?

     In many cases, translation of documents for the further submission of them in the state bodies or other official public and private instances in Ukraine, should be notarially certified.


Q.     NEED CERTIFIED NOTARIZED UKRAINIAN TRANSLATION OF PASSPORT?

1. Passport copy does not require "authentication" for Ukraine.

2. You just send to us scanned copy of your foreign passport to our e-mail address.

3. You get certified notarized translation, attached (thread bound) to your copy of passport, which is acceptable all over the Ukraine.


Q.     NEED CERTIFIED NOTARIZED UKRAINIAN TRANSLATION OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

1. Obtain your original birth certificate in the corresponding vital records department of your area, if you don't have one.

2. For official use in Ukraine, birth certificates require "authentication" (apostille or consular legalization depending on your country). So, obtain necessary "authentication" for your original birth certificate or for its original notarized copy and send it to our mailing address.

3. You get certified notarized translation, attached (thread bound) to your original birth certificate, which is acceptable all over the Ukraine.
